Mahalaxmi Namkeen & Sweets

We've been at Uttam Nagar near Pollar No 735 for a while now. Most days start early, usually before the sun is even up, so we can get the snacks ready. It gets quite busy around M-25, especially when people are heading home from work. They stop by for some namkeen or something sweet to take back. We just focus on making things the way we always have, without making a big fuss about it. The shop is small, but it fits everything we need. Sometimes the floor gets a bit messy when it’s raining outside, but we try to keep things moving. We see the same faces every week, mostly folks from the neighborhood who know where we are. It’s a lot of work, standing on your feet all day and packing bags, but that’s just how it is. We don't have a fancy website or anything like that. People just find us by walking past. My nephew helps out on the weekends when it gets extra crowded. The kitchen is always hot because the stoves are going non-stop. We make sure the trays stay full. If something runs out, we just make more. It’s a simple way to spend the day, really. Nothing too complicated about what we do here. Just keeping the shop open and making sure there’s enough for everyone who stops by. We’ve seen the area change a lot over the years, but our spot stays pretty much the same.
