Lalaji Namkeen Bhandar

Lalaji Namkeen Bhandar is our little place on Jeevan Park Manaskunj Road, right at number 34. We spend most of our time here surrounded by the smell of spices and snacks. It is a residential area mostly, so it is not as crazy as the main markets, but Manaskunj Road still gets its fair share of traffic. We open the doors early and stay until the street lights come on. The shop is filled with containers and bags of all sizes. We do not have a lot of space for people to sit, so they usually just grab what they need and go. It is a simple routine we have followed for a long time. My hands always feel a bit dusty from the ingredients, but that is just how it goes. We know the families who live in the houses nearby. We have seen their kids grow up and start coming to the shop on their own. It makes the neighborhood feel small and friendly. Sometimes the rain leaks in a little near the front door, and we have to put a bucket out, but we do not let it bother us. We are just here to provide what we have. It is a modest business and we are not looking to change much. If you walk down Manaskunj Road, you will see our sign at 34. It is a plain place with honest people working inside, and that is all there is to it.
