Kochar Overseas Exports

We run Kochar Overseas Exports out of House No. 31 on Road No. 7 in East Punjabi Bagh. It’s a nice enough neighborhood, fairly quiet compared to the main roads. The house has been converted to fit our needs, so it has a bit of a homey feel but with more filing cabinets and computers than a normal house would have. We deal with exports, so we’re always looking at shipping schedules and talking to people in different time zones. It can get a bit confusing with the hours, but we’re used to it. The team is small, mostly just a few of us who have known each other for years. We drink a lot of tea and talk about the day's tasks around a big wooden table. There isn't any corporate hierarchy here; we all just pitch in where it’s needed. Sometimes there are samples piled up in the hallway waiting to be sent out. We like being in Punjabi Bagh because it’s easy to get to, and it’s not as chaotic as some of the commercial hubs. We don't do any big advertising. Our business comes from the relationships we’ve built over a long time. It’s a straightforward operation. We just make sure the goods get from point A to point B without too much trouble. It’s a calm way to run an export business, and it works for us and our partners.
