Our business is run out of Janak Puri, specifically at A5A/3B. It’s a residential-feeling area but there are plenty of small offices like ours tucked away. We’ve been in this particular spot for quite a while now and we’ve grown used to the rhythm of the neighborhood. Kirti Exports is basically a small team of us handling various export orders. The office itself is quite simple. We have a couple of large tables where we spread out the samples and check them against the order sheets. It’s not a corporate environment by any means. We wear regular clothes and usually have the radio playing softly in the background. Most of our work involves a lot of emailing and making sure the packing lists are accurate before anything leaves the building. The stairs up to our unit are a bit steep, but we don't mind. We get a lot of sun through the front window in the mornings, which is nice. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time finding the exact gate, so we often have to go out and wave them down. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to answer the phones with a script. It’s just us. We take our lunch breaks together most days and talk about things other than work. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living, and we just focus on getting the daily tasks done properly.
