Traveler Food

We are located in Janakpuri West, up on the second floor of Jaina Tower No. 2. If you know the area, it’s a pretty busy building with a lot of different offices. Traveler Food is basically what it sounds like. We handle getting meals to people who are on the move, mostly on trains. It’s a lot of coordination between kitchens and timing things so the food is actually there when the train pulls in. It can be a bit of a headache when schedules change, which happens more than you'd think. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or checking computer screens. Our office in room 210 isn't very big, but it’s enough for the team we have here. We’ve been doing this for some time now and we've learned that simple is usually better when it comes to food. People just want a decent meal that doesn't cost too much and arrives hot. We don't do anything fancy or over-the-top. Most of us here just like the fact that we're helping travelers get through a long journey. It gets pretty loud in the office during peak lunch and dinner hours. Sometimes the lift in the tower is slow, so we end up taking the stairs. It keeps us moving, I guess. We are just a group of regular people trying to make sure nobody goes hungry while they’re traveling across the country.
