Gian Sweets Shop

Our spot is right at the Ndmc Booth, number 71, near the Delhi G P O. It’s a small place, as you can imagine being a booth and all. We don't have a lot of room to move around, but we manage. Most of the day is spent serving people who are passing by or visiting the post office. Sweets are what we do, and we’ve been doing it at this location for a good while. It gets pretty crowded around the booth during festivals or lunch hours. We just try to keep the line moving so nobody has to wait too long. The space is tight, so we have to be very organized with how we stack the boxes and display the trays. It’s not a fancy shop with seats or anything. You just come to the window, pick what you want, and go. Sometimes the traffic outside is loud, and it gets a bit dusty being so close to the main road, but we keep everything covered up. We start early to get the fresh batches ready. By the time the GPO opens, we are usually set. It’s a simple way to earn a living. We know the regulars, and they know us. Nothing much changes from one week to the next, and we like it that way. Just serving sweets from our little booth. It's a lot of standing, but we don't mind it much because it keeps us busy.
