Devyani International (Pizza Hut)

We are located at 29/6 in West Patel Nagar, right here in New Delhi. This is where we run the Pizza Hut. It is a busy part of the city and there is always something going on outside our doors. Inside, it is all about the ovens and getting the dough ready. We have a crew that comes in early to start the prep work. It gets really hot in the kitchen, especially during the lunch and dinner rushes when everyone wants their food at the same time. We aren't a fancy restaurant, just a place where people grab a meal or wait for their delivery drivers to show up. The floor usually needs a good mop because of all the feet coming in and out from the street. Devyani International manages us, but on the ground here in Patel Nagar, it’s just us trying to keep the cheese melted and the toppings right. Sometimes we run out of something or a machine acts up, and we just have to figure it out on the fly. We see a lot of regular faces from the neighborhood. It’s a lot of standing on your feet and dealing with the noise of the traffic and the kitchen timers. We don’t have any big speeches to give about what we do; we just make the pizzas and hope the traffic isn't too bad for the delivery guys. It's a lot of boxes and cleaning up at night.
