Avon Bakers&Confectioners

Avon Bakers&Confectioners is our little spot over at E-11 Sudarshan Park in New Delhi. If you walk past early enough in the morning, you can definitely smell the bread baking. We’ve been at this address for a long time now. The building isn't anything special to look at, just a typical Delhi structure, but inside it’s always busy. We have ovens running almost all the time. It gets pretty hot in the back, especially during the summer months. There’s flour on just about every surface, and we’re constantly moving trays around. We aren't a big industrial factory; we’re more of a local operation. We have a few delivery rickshaws that head out every day to drop off orders around the neighborhood. Sometimes things get a little chaotic when we have a big order to get out, but we always manage somehow. Our staff has been with us for years, so we all know our roles without having to talk much. We don't spend money on fancy advertisements or anything like that. People just know where we are. We focus on the dough and the baking, and that’s about it. Sudarshan Park is a lively area, and we like being part of the daily routine here. It’s hard work and long hours, but seeing the racks full of fresh goods makes it worth it. Sometimes we run out of things by mid-afternoon, but we just start again the next day.
