Apni Rasoi

If you’re around Paschimpuri in Punjabi Bagh, you might have seen Apni Rasoi at 519/3. It’s our little corner where we prepare food for the local community. We’ve been here for a good while, and the neighborhood has become very familiar to us. The kitchen is the heart of our shop, and we’re usually back there for most of the day. We don't have a corporate setup or anything polished like that. It’s just a local eatery where we focus on getting the food out to the people. Whether it's a quick lunch or something for dinner, we try to keep things consistent. The Paschimpuri area is quite residential, so we see a lot of families and people who live nearby. Some days are quieter than others, but during the meal times, it’s always a bit of a rush. We don't have any grand mission statements; we just want to cook and serve food that people enjoy. Our space at 519/3 isn’t huge, but it works for what we do. We do our own cleaning and shopping for the ingredients every day. It’s a simple, honest business. We hope that when people eat our food, they feel like it was made with care. It’s just us doing our thing every day, keeping the pots boiling and the customers fed. Sometimes we run out of items early, but that is part of being a small kitchen.
