Ajit Plastics

Ajit Plastics is located over in the DLF Industrial Area, specifically at number 18 in Moti Nagar. If you know this part of town, you know it’s always got trucks moving in and out and a lot of noise from the nearby shops. Our building is right in the thick of it. Inside, it’s mostly the sound of the machines running and the smell of warm plastic. We spend a lot of time checking the molds and making sure the raw materials are loaded into the hoppers correctly. It’s a hands-on kind of job. The floor is usually covered with little scraps of plastic by the end of the shift, which we have to sweep up every evening. We’ve been at this same spot for quite a long time, so we’ve seen the industrial area change around us. Some of the guys working here have been with us since the start. We drink a lot of tea while we wait for the machines to finish their cycles. It’s not a glamorous place, just a lot of metal and heat and hard work. We keep our delivery logs in a big messy binder on the front desk. Sometimes the power cuts out and we have to wait around, but usually, we just keep the production line moving. Dealing with shipments is probably the busiest part of our afternoon when the tempo drivers show up and we have to load the crates.
