Mahavandan Producer Company Limited is located over in Kajaleshwar, which is part of the Barshitakli area in Akola. Our main office is just at house number 302. It’s a pretty standard village setup here. We are mostly focused on the crops that grow well in this part of Akola. The weather can be a real challenge sometimes because it gets so dry and hot, but we are used to it by now. We decided to put this company together because doing things as a group made more sense than trying to handle everything alone. At H.No. 302, we spend a lot of time looking over papers and trying to keep everything organized. It’s not always pretty, and our ledger books have seen better days, but the work gets done. People from around the village stop by quite often to talk about the market prices or just to see how things are going with the company. We don’t have any fancy brochures or a big website with professional photos. It’s just us, some chairs, and a lot of discussion about how to get our produce sold. We know the land around Barshitakli very well because we’ve worked it for years. This company is just our way of trying to take a bit more control over the business side of farming without losing our roots in the local soil.
