Krushisevak Agrotech Farmer Producercompany Limited is located in Kata which is in the Washim district. Our main contact point is Anand Baliram Tajne’s house. We are a bunch of local farmers who wanted to do something about the way we sell our crops. In Kata everyone knows what it’s like to work under the sun all day only to find out the market prices have dropped. So we formed Krushisevak to see if we could change that a bit. The "Agrotech" part of our name might sound modern but we are still very traditional in how we handle our work. We look at new ways to improve the soil and maybe use better seeds but the core of it is still the same old hard work. Our office is just a room where we store some samples and meet up to discuss the latest government schemes. We don't have any fancy signs or billboards. Most of our members are just our friends and neighbors from around Washim. We try to be practical about everything. If a machine breaks down we fix it ourselves. If the rains are late we wait together. It’s a very grounded way of running a business. We aren't looking for global fame. We just want our village's farming to be a bit more stable so that the next generation might want to stay and work the land too.
