You can find us over at Shri Janardhan Raut’s place in Sakhara. It is part of the Sakharatq Washim area. Pandharinath Jaivik Sheti Mission Farmer Producer Company Limited is a very long name for us, but we just think of it as our local group of friends and neighbors. We focus on Jaivik Sheti, which is just the natural way of farming, but we do not make a big fuss about it. It is just how we prefer to grow things on our own land. Being here in Sakhara, we are surrounded by the fields we work in every day. The office isn't anything special to look at, just a room where we can sit down and talk through our plans for the year. Janardhan’s place is easy enough to find if you know the road. We spend a lot of time talking about compost and the natural ways to keep the bugs away from the plants. It is slower work than the chemical way, but it feels right to us. People from Washim come by sometimes to see what we are doing. We have meetings once in a while to decide what to plant next or how to share the costs of the equipment we need to buy. It is a lot of back and forth between us. No one here is a professional businessman; we are just farmers who decided to team up. It is honest work and we just keep going.
