Ansingh Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our office is set up at Keshavrao Uttamrao Ingle’s house in Umara-Shamshoddin, which is part of Ansing in the Washim district. We are a farmer producer company, but that really just means we are a bunch of neighbors who decided to join forces. We don't have a big fancy office in the city. Instead, we meet up at the house to talk about our plans for the season. It is a very informal environment. We sit on the porch or in the main room and go over the accounts and the harvest schedules. Washim is a place where farming is everything, so we are always talking about cotton, soy, or whatever else is in the ground. We don't have any corporate polish or marketing slogans. We are just trying to get a better price for our hard work and help each other out with seeds and tools. Sometimes we argue about the best way to do things, but that is just part of being a group. It is honest work and it is often quite tiring. We have a lot of paperwork to deal with these days because of all the regulations, but we manage to get through it. People in the village know us and they know where to find us if they have questions. It is a simple, local operation.
