You can find us at number 15 on Indira Gandhi Street in Maharajapuram. We’ve been part of the Villupuram community for quite a while now. It’s a simple setup, nothing too flashy. We have the usual classrooms and a small area for the kids to play during their breaks. Most of the staff here have been around for years, so we know the families in the neighborhood pretty well. We don’t spend money on big advertisements or fancy websites. Most people hear about us from their neighbors or relatives. It’s a bit old-fashioned, maybe, but it works for us. We focus on getting the kids through their lessons. Reading, writing, and arithmetic are the main things we worry about. Sometimes the roof needs a bit of repair after the rains, or we have to paint the benches again, but we manage. It’s a local school for local people. We don’t try to be anything we’re not. The kids come in the morning, they study, they have their lunch, and then they head home. We try to keep things orderly, though it can get a bit loud when everyone is excited. If you walk down our street, you’ll hear the teachers talking and the kids answering back. It’s just the normal sound of a school day. We’re just here to do a job and help the kids get a decent start in life without making a big fuss about it.
