Our name is Shrivijayalaxmi Shriniwasa Farmer Producer Company Limited. We are located at Gat No. 85 in Walki (Kd). The office is run through Ganesh Potanna Bodewar. Walki is a small place and everyone pretty much knows Ganesh. We are just a bunch of farmers who thought it was time to join together. The name is a bit long, we know, but it means something to us. We are based right there on the land at Gat No. 85. It’s a working area, not a fancy office building. You won't find any air conditioning or suites here. We mostly sit around and talk about the seeds and the rain. Ganesh Potanna Bodewar takes care of the mail and the basic rules. We are just simple people from the Walki area. Our days are spent checking on the crops and making sure the harvest is okay. We don't do any big promotions. Word of mouth is how most people find us. It is a local effort through and through. We just wanted to have a company so we could be treated fairly. It’s been a learning process for all of us. Dealing with the government rules is the hardest part. But we are still here in Walki, doing the same work we have always done for years. We just hope that by sticking together we can make a little bit of progress for the village and our families.
