Bijapur Horticulture Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of Takkalaki, in the Bijapur Rsd area. This isn’t a place with glass walls or suits. We are mostly out in the dirt or sitting in the small office we have here. Working with horticulture means we are always looking at the weather and the crops. Takkalaki is a quiet spot, but when it’s harvest time, everything moves fast. We spend our mornings talking to the local farmers and seeing what is coming in from the fields. It is a lot of hard work and sometimes things don’t go as planned because that’s just how farming is. We don’t use any big words to describe what we do. We just get the produce, sort it out, and make sure it goes where it needs to go. The office is simple, mostly just some chairs and piles of registers to keep track of everyone’s names and their yields. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just sit outside and talk. It’s a real community thing here in Bijapur. We are just a group of people trying to make the farming side of things work a bit better for the folks in our village. There’s no marketing team here, just us and the plants. It’s a long day every day, but it’s what we know. We don't have time for fancy talk when there are crops to be managed and trucks to be loaded.
