Bhima Krishna Farmers Producer Company Limited

You can find our group over at Basava Nilaya in the Kanteppa Layout in Sindagi. We are using Shrikant Somajal’s place as our main office. We named our company after the Bhima and Krishna rivers because those rivers are so important to our life as farmers here. We are just a collection of local people who decided it was better to work as a group than to try and do everything alone. It makes things like transporting the harvest and buying supplies a lot easier for everyone. We are not polished or professional in the way a big city company might be. We are the kind of people who spend our days in the fields and our evenings talking about the soil and the water levels. Sindagi is a good place to live, but farming here takes a lot of effort and patience. We just try to keep things simple and honest. If the harvest is good, we are all happy, and if it is bad, we just figure out how to get through it together. Being a producer company just gives us a bit of a structure to our work. We still have the same conversations we always did, just now we have a place to keep the books and meet up. We are just trying to keep our farms going and take care of our families, nothing more than that.
