Morning Star High School

Morning Star High School is located at 15/21, Perya Alipuran Street in Vellore. It has been part of this neighborhood for a long time. You can find us easily if you walk down from the main road. The school building is several stories high and shows its age in some places, but it is solid. We handle the older kids here, mostly high school age. The hallways get really crowded between periods when everyone is rushing to their next class. You can hear the teachers talking through the open doors. We have wooden desks that have been written on by generations of students. In the mornings, the street outside is full of cycles and kids walking in their uniforms. We don't have a lot of extra space, so we use every corner of the building for something. There is a small office near the entrance where the mail comes in. Most of the staff have been teaching here for ten or fifteen years. We see siblings come through one after another. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the stairs. We spend a lot of time making sure the students stay on track with their books. After school ends, some kids hang around the gate to talk, and then it gets quiet until the next morning. It is just a regular school doing regular things in the heart of Vellore. We try to keep things organized despite the daily chaos.
