Bhagwan Mahaveer Dayaniketan Jain School

Our school is located in the Gandhi Nagar area of Vellore. It has been sitting here for quite some time now. Most people in the neighborhood know the building. We start our mornings fairly early when the first buses and parents show up at the gate. It's a Jain school, so we follow certain traditions and keep things pretty simple throughout the day. There are classrooms for different grades and a small area where the kids can spend their breaks. We don't have any of those flashy modern gadgets you see in big city private schools. It is just desks, blackboards, and books. The teachers come from around Vellore and they just get on with their work. Sometimes the hallways are noisy, especially when the bell rings for lunch. We try to keep the place clean but with so many children coming through every day, it is a constant job. You will see us out there in the mornings making sure everyone gets inside safely. We don’t do big advertisements or anything like that. Most families find us because they live nearby or their cousins came here before. It is just a regular part of life in Gandhi Nagar. We focus on the lessons and making sure the students know what they need to for their exams. It’s a practical place, nothing more and nothing less. We just show up and do the job every day.
