We run Shivrudra Hotels LLP from our place at D 13/27 25 in Bansphatak, Varanasi. If you’ve ever walked through Bansphatak, you know how narrow and winding the lanes are. It is right in the thick of the old city, where everything is happening all at once. Our office is just a small room where we manage the various aspects of the hotel business. It is a very old-fashioned way of working because the environment around us is so traditional. We don't have a big team or fancy equipment. It’s mostly just us, a couple of old desks, and the sound of the crowds outside our door. Varanasi is a place that never really sleeps, especially in the 221001 area, so there is always someone needing something at odd hours. We spend a lot of time dealing with the practicalities of running a business in such an old part of the city, like making sure the supplies get delivered through the narrow streets. We don't pretend to be some high-end corporate entity. We are just locals who know the area and how things work here. Most of our day involves talking to people face-to-face rather than through fancy apps. It can be loud and a bit chaotic, but that’s just life in Bansphatak. We take things as they come and try to keep our heads down and do the work.
