Shree Swaminarayan Shikshan Seva Kendra

This place is out in Salvav, near Valsad. It’s a bit away from the main city noise, which is actually quite nice. The campus is fairly large compared to some of the city schools. You can see the fields nearby. We have students coming from all the surrounding villages and towns. Some come by bus and some walk. The morning starts early here. You can hear the sounds of students arriving and teachers getting things ready. Our buildings are simple, made of brick and concrete. We have some open spaces where everyone gathers. It’s not a very polished place; you might see some peeling paint here and there or some dust on the shelves. But it’s a working school. We have a lot of books and some old lab equipment. The staff stays busy with classes and grading papers. During the lunch break, it gets very loud with everyone eating and talking at once. We don’t have a big PR team writing stuff for us. We just focus on what’s happening in the classrooms. In the winter, the mornings are quite cold, so everyone wears heavy sweaters. By the afternoon, it warms up and the sun hits the courtyard. It’s a steady rhythm we have here in Salvav. We’ve been part of this community for a long time and everyone around knows our name. It's just home to us and the students.
