Laziz Dhaba

We have been here on National Highway No 8 for a while now. Most people find us because we are right near the sugar factory, just across from the Universal Petrol Pump. Being in Valsad means it gets pretty busy with the trucks and people driving through. It is not fancy here. We just have tables and chairs and we cook what we know. My brother and I usually open up early to get things ready before the lunch rush starts. The highway can be noisy but you get used to it after a few years. We spend a lot of time in the kitchen making sure the food is ready for whoever stops by. Sometimes it is local workers from the sugar factory and other times it is just families on a long drive needing a break. We do not have a big staff, just a few of us working together. We try to keep things clean but it is a dhaba on a busy road, so dust is always a thing we are fighting. We mostly just focus on getting the plates out and making sure people leave with full stomachs. It is hard work and the summers are really hot next to the stoves. But we like the people who come in. Everyone has a story from the road. We are just here doing our job every day. It is a simple life but it keeps us busy.
