Vikas Children Wear & Hosiery

If you walk down LB Shastri Road in Vadodara, you’ll find us right opposite Apna Bazar. We’ve been at this spot for quite some time, selling mostly kids' clothes and hosiery items. It’s a small space, so it gets pretty packed with boxes of socks, vests, and little outfits for babies and older children. Dealing with kids' clothes is a bit different because the sizes are so tiny and they get messed up easily on the hangers. Parents come in looking for something sturdy that won't fall apart after one wash. The traffic on LB Shastri Road is always loud, so we hear the honking all day long. Sometimes we stand out front just to catch a bit of a breeze. It’s a family-run thing, so you’ll usually see one of us behind the counter or trying to organize the stock in the back. We don't have any big fancy displays. We just put the new stuff out where people can see the colors. It gets really busy during the festival seasons when everyone wants new clothes for their little ones. We just mark the prices so it makes sense because we know how fast kids grow out of things. It’s just a regular local shop where we know many of the faces that walk through the door. We stay open pretty late most nights to make sure people coming from work can stop by.
