Shyam Shankar Decorators Pvt Ltd is located over at Nizampura 18. If you come by, you’ll probably see a bunch of bamboo poles and rolls of fabric sitting out back. We spend our days sorting through tents, curtains, and lighting fixtures. It’s a lot of physical labor, loading up the trucks early in the morning and setting everything up before the sun gets too high. We’ve been in Nizampura for years, so everyone around here knows our trucks. The office is just a small room where we keep the schedules and take orders. It’s nothing fancy, just some chairs and a desk that’s seen better days. We don't use fancy software to design things; we mostly just sketch it out on paper or show people pictures of what we’ve done before. It’s a simple way of working, but it works for us. Our crew is mostly local guys who have been with us a long time. We know how to set up a stage or a wedding canopy pretty fast by now. Sometimes the weather doesn't help us out, and we have to work in the rain or heat, but that’s part of the job. We don't spend money on big ads.
