Shree Swagat Restaurant

Starts at Shop No 7. Gotri Road gets really busy during the evening, especially near the Hari Nagar cross road. We’ve been here at Shroff Nagar for a while now. Most days it is just us making sure the tables are wiped down and the kitchen is ready before the lunch crowd shows up. My nephew helps out sometimes when he is not at college. It is not a very big place but it keeps us busy enough. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to sit outside for a bit. We get a lot of people who work nearby just coming in for a quick bite. I usually handle the front and keep an eye on the supplies coming in from the market. It’s a lot of work but it’s what we do. The floor needs sweeping a lot because of the dust from the road. Vadodara heat can be tough in the summer months so we keep the fans running high. People know us around here. We don't really do anything fancy or special, just the usual stuff you'd expect at a place like this. Sometimes we run out of things if the delivery guy is late. It happens. We just try to keep things moving and make sure the food is hot. It’s just a normal day-to-day life for us here at Shree Swagat Restaurant. Nothing more to it really. We just hope people enjoy their meal and come back when they are hungry again tomorrow.
