Shree Ramgop Chainwala is on the 1st floor of Balaji Chambers. We are at number 2 Mandvi. The area is always buzzing with people and trade. Being on the first floor is good because we are away from the street level dust but still close enough to see what is happening. Balaji Chambers is a solid old building. You can tell it has seen a lot of years. The stairs are a bit narrow, so you have to be careful when two people are passing each other. Our space inside is filled with the things we need for the business. It’s not a corporate showroom, just an office where we spend our hours. Mandvi is a hectic place, especially in the afternoons. Sometimes the noise from the street comes right up through the floorboards. We have our routines here. Opening up the shutters, checking the mail, and getting the lights on. It’s a simple life at Balaji Chambers. We know the other shopkeepers in the building. We might grab a tea from the guy downstairs once or twice a day. It’s the kind of place where everyone knows everyone else’s business. We have been at this address for a while and it suits us just fine. There is no need for anything fancier. We have our desks, our chairs, and our work. That is all we really need to keep things going. We just do our thing here.
