Shree Ganesh Dosa Center

Shree Ganesh Dosa Center is located on Old Padra Road in Vadodara, right near the Surykiran Complex. If you know the Manisha Chowkdi area, you probably know exactly where we are because that intersection is always packed with traffic. We spend most of our day behind the hot tawa making sure the batter is ready and the heat is just right. It gets pretty warm in here, especially during the summer months, but that is part of the job. People from the nearby offices and apartments stop by when they are hungry and don't want to wait too long. We see a lot of families on the weekends who are out for a walk or running errands at the chowkdi. The noise from the street never really stops, so we have gotten used to shouting over the sound of horns and engines. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us making sure everything is wiped down and the plates are clean. The space is small and we keep it practical for the kind of crowd we get. Sometimes we run out of things toward the end of the day, which is just how it goes when you deal with fresh stuff. We aren't trying to be a five-star place, just a spot on Old Padra Road where you can get something to eat. The lights are a bit dim and the chairs are simple, but it works for us and the people who live around here.
