Shree Ashapuri Buliyan

Our place is Shree Ashapuri Buliyan and we are tucked away in the Silver Chambers over on Mandvi Richmond Road. It is quite close to the Jain Deraser, which is a good landmark for anyone trying to find us for the first time. The building itself, Silver Chambers, has been around for quite a while and the stairs are a bit steep if you aren't used to them. We spend most of our time inside, dealing with the daily tasks that come with being in this trade. The area around Mandvi is always crowded, with people rushing back and forth and bikes parked everywhere you look. It can be a bit of a headache to find a spot for a scooter sometimes. Inside the office, things are kept pretty straightforward. We have a heavy door and some old wooden counters where we sit. It’s not the kind of place where we have air conditioning running all day, usually we just keep the windows open if the dust isn't too bad outside. The noise from the street is just part of the background here. Being near the temple means there is a certain rhythm to the day, with bells ringing or people walking by in the mornings. We have been in this spot for a long time now and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it feels like home to us. It’s just a regular work day here.
