Shivanand Glass Engineering

Shivanand Glass Engineering is tucked away in B-105, Suvarna Complex, near Gajanan Park Soc. in Manjalpur. We have been here for a good while now. It is just a local shop where we handle various glass engineering tasks. The space isn't huge, but it fits our machines and the sheets of glass we work on every day. Glass is a tricky material. If you make one wrong move, it shatters and you have to start all over again. We have learned to be very careful with our hands. People from around the neighborhood come to us when they need something specific for their homes or shops. We don't do much advertising. Mostly, it is just people seeing our sign when they go to the park or hearing about us from a neighbor. The workshop can get a bit loud when the cutters are running, but that is part of the job. Sometimes the office part of the unit gets a bit messy with drawings and measurements scribbled on scraps of paper. We try to keep it organized, but when we are busy, the work comes first. It is not a fancy place with air conditioning and soft chairs. It is a working unit where we get our hands dirty. We just show up every morning, open the shutters, and see what needs to be done. It is a simple way to make a living and we are used to the routine here in Manjalpur.
