Jagdamba Engineering Works

Jagdamba Engineering Works is located at Plot No. 497-10 in the Gidc Ind. Estate. Being in an industrial estate like this means there is always noise and movement. You have trucks coming in and bikes zooming past all day long. Our workshop is right in the middle of that energy. We do engineering work here. Most of the time we are focused on the lathes or the welding setups. It is a busy place with a lot of heavy lifting. The floor is concrete and we have racks of materials stacked up against the walls. We don’t have a fancy reception area. If someone comes by, they usually just walk up to the main door and shout over the machines. It is an honest way to work. We started out with just a few tools and have stayed at this plot ever since. The Gidc area is a bit of a maze if you don't know your way around, but we are settled in here. We see the same delivery drivers every week. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside until it comes back. It's just part of being in this sector. We don't spend much time on the computer unless we really have to. Most of our work is done with our hands. It's what we know. We close the shutters late at night when the last job is finished. It is a long day but we are used to the rhythm of the machines.
