Shayam Shankar Decorator Pvt Ltd operates out of Shop Number 18 in the Asoj Auto Towers, which is part of the Nanubhai Tower complex. We are located near Mehsana Nagar, right by the Garda Ground. It is a busy area where a lot of local people go for their shopping and chores. Our shop is where we keep all the plans and some of the smaller samples for the decorating work we do. Most of our actual inventory like tents and big lights is kept elsewhere because it wouldn't fit in the tower. We spend a lot of time out at different sites, setting up for weddings or local festivals. When we are in the shop, we are usually on the phone or talking to customers about their budget and what they need. It is a very hands-on job. We don't have a polished corporate image. Our clothes usually have a bit of dust on them and our hands are always busy moving stuff. Being near the Garda Ground is good because we know the layout of the local event spaces well. We have been doing this for years and it is mostly about knowing how to handle the logistics of a big setup. Sometimes things break or the weather doesn't cooperate, but we just find a way to fix it. We are a small team that works hard to get things ready before the guests arrive.
