Shalimar Restaurant

We are right across from the railway station in Vadodara. It is a busy spot. People are always coming and going with their bags. We see a lot of travelers every single day. The restaurant has been here for a while. It’s not a fancy place, just somewhere to sit down and eat when you get off a train or before you head out. The fans are usually running because it gets warm. We start early in the morning because the trains don't stop for anyone. You can hear the announcements from across the road sometimes if the traffic is quiet, though it rarely is. There are a few tables and chairs. We keep things pretty simple. Most people just want a quick meal and some water before they move on to their next destination. It’s a practical location. We don’t have any big signs or neon lights, just the name Shalimar Restaurant on the front. It’s easy to spot if you just look across from the main exit. Sometimes locals come by too, but it’s mostly folks from the station. We spend a lot of time cleaning up after the lunch rush. It gets dusty because of the road, so we are always wiping down the tables. It is just a normal part of the day here. We don't do anything special, just provide food to whoever walks through the door. It gets very noisy during the evenings.
