Our workshop is found at Unit 20/A within the Baroda Co-Op Industrial Estate. To get to us, you have to turn off Channi Road and head down Dharam Singh Desai Marg. Saurashtra Engineering Co. has been operating from this same spot for many years now. It is a real engineering environment, so you will smell machine oil and hear the hum of lathes as soon as you step inside. We spend most of our time at the workbenches or operating the milling machines. Our clothes usually end up with grease stains, and there is metal scrap on the floor, but that is how a real machine shop looks. We handle a lot of custom repair jobs and small fabrication work for other businesses in the estate. We don't have a front desk or a receptionist to greet people. Usually, customers just walk into the shop and talk to whichever one of us isn't busy with a machine. The work requires a lot of focus and precise measurements, so we don't talk much while the tools are running. We have a mix of some older, reliable equipment and a few newer pieces that help us get the jobs done. We don't bother with fancy brochures or advertising campaigns. Most people find us through word of mouth because they know we can fix things or make parts that fit right. It is just honest engineering work done by people who understand metal.
