Sangeetam the music school

We are out on Ajwa Nimeta Road in Waghodia, which is a bit of a distance from the main center of Vadodara. Sangeetam the music school is really just a collection of rooms where people come to play instruments. It’s not a fancy academy with soundproof walls. You can usually hear a bit of everything at once, like someone on the drums and someone else trying to learn the harmonium. We started this because we wanted a place for music in this part of town. The building is simple and the rooms are quite basic, with just some chairs and the instruments we need. It’s a bit of a quiet area, though you do get the sound of the traffic from the road nearby. We don't have a big reception desk or a uniform for the teachers. It is a very relaxed place where people can just come and practice. The floor has some scratches from moving the heavy equipment around, and the paint is peeling a little in the corners. Most of the people who come here are just locals who want to learn a new hobby. We usually have a pot of tea going in the small kitchen area for anyone who needs a break. It is an honest, local music school without any big pretenses. We just focus on the music and helping people get better at their instruments. It’s a nice way to spend the afternoon, surrounded by all those sounds.
