Rutu Dress Material

We operate out of SB-33 A in the Siddharth Complex. It’s located near Hindustan Naka in Charkop, which is part of Kandivili West. The complex is a bit older and has many small businesses like ours all packed together. We sell dress materials. That means lots of unstitched fabric, suits, and different pieces that people take to their tailors. The shelves are usually pretty full because we like to have options available. It’s not a very big shop, so sometimes we have to stack things quite high. Moving around the counter can be a bit of a squeeze when we have more than two people in here. We spend a lot of our time measuring lengths of cloth and cutting them for customers. It’s physical work and your hands get tired after a while. The area around Charkop is always moving, with people heading to work or running errands. We get a mix of regulars who have lived here for years and some new faces too. We don’t do any big advertising. Mostly, people just see our sign when they are walking through the complex. We try to keep the shop clean, but with all the fabric fibers in the air, there is always a bit of dust. It’s just a small, local business doing what we know how to do. Sometimes it gets loud with the traffic from Hindustan Naka, but we just keep working through it all day.
