Royal The Banquet Hall

Our hall is located inside the Presidency Towers in Alkapuri. It is a pretty well-known building in the area, right opposite the Indian Oil Nagar. We are situated next to National Plaza, so finding the entrance is not too difficult for most people. The hall itself is just a large open space. We spend the majority of our time moving heavy chairs around and setting up wooden stages for different kinds of events. One day we might have a small birthday party for a child, and the next day it could be a big wedding reception with hundreds of guests. We have to work hard to keep the floor polished and all the lights in the ceiling working. The air conditioning is a very important thing here because it gets so hot in Vadodara during the summer months. We do not do the catering ourselves, but we spend a lot of time working with the outside people who bring the food. It takes a lot of coordination to get it right. Sometimes the elevators in the tower move a bit slow and the guests get a little impatient waiting in the lobby. We just try to help out where we can. We have a small office near the main entrance where we take our bookings and talk to customers. It is not a glamorous job, mostly just cleaning up after parties and making sure the bathrooms are tidy.
