Rekha Garments

You can find Rekha Garments over by the old Raopura Cinema. We are tucked into Kachiya Pole, which is one of those narrow lanes that makes this part of Raopura so familiar. It is a bit of a maze if you aren't used to it. The shop is close to the cinema, so we get a lot of foot traffic when a movie lets out. It is an old building, nothing like the new malls you see popping up elsewhere. We have been here for a long time. The walls have seen better days, and the floor is a bit worn down from people walking in and out. We sell clothes for regular people. There is always a pile of garments that needs sorting or folding. My hands are usually busy with that while I talk to whoever stops by. It is a friendly enough place, even if it gets a bit cramped. We don’t have fancy air conditioning, just a couple of old fans that rattle. The neighbors are all shopkeepers too, so we see the same faces every day. We drink tea together in the afternoons when the sun is too hot for customers to be out. It is just a local garment shop doing its thing in a busy corner of Raopura. We keep the doors open and wait for the locals to come in. Most of the day is just spent chatting and keeping the shop tidy.
