Pooja Dresses is located at number 90 in Munshi Market. If you know Mangal Bazar in Vadodara, you know how packed those lanes can get, especially on the weekends. We are specifically in Munshi Khancha, which is one of those narrow spots that feels like a maze if you aren’t used to it. The shop is small, but we pack a lot into it. There are stacks of clothes everywhere you look, reaching almost to the ceiling. We spend a lot of time helping people find their size in the middle of all those piles. Sometimes it’s hard to even find the stool to sit down on. The market outside is always loud with people shouting and bikes trying to get through the narrow gaps. We’ve seen the market change over the years, with shops coming and going, but we’re still right here in the same spot. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we never seem to find the time to empty everything out to do it. It’s a busy life here in Vadodara. We open up early and stay until the last customer leaves or until we’re just too tired to keep the lights on. It’s a simple setup, really. We just focus on the clothes and the people who walk through that door in the Munshi Market alleyway. We don't need much else to keep things going.
