Pinxx Restaurant

Pinxx Restaurant sits inside the Royal Orchid Central Hotel over in Akota. If you know Vadodara, you know the Mujmahuda Circle gets pretty crowded during office hours. We are right near Samrajya Gate No 2 and Shivaji Chowk. It is a busy corner of the city. We usually start the day by checking the kitchen supplies and making sure the dining area is tidy. The hotel lobby is always buzzing with people checking in or out. You can hear the traffic from Shivaji Chowk if you stand near the entrance. We have some regulars who live in the apartments nearby in Akota. They come in and we know where they like to sit. It is a simple routine we follow every single day. The sun sets behind the buildings across the road, and that is when the dinner rush usually starts. We do not do anything too complicated here. We just work. Some of the staff have been here since the place opened. We have seen the neighborhood change, with more shops opening up near Samrajya Gate. It feels like a small community even though it is a big hotel restaurant. Sometimes the air conditioner makes a little hum, but we are used to it. We just focus on getting the plates out and keeping the place running. It is a job like any other, but we like being in this part of Vadodara.
