Patel Restaurant

You can find us on the ground floor of the Lakshya Complex. It is right on the Fatehgunj Main Road in Vadodara. If you know where the SBI ATM is in Fateganj, we are just opposite that. The restaurant is a simple place where we serve the food we know how to make. It gets pretty busy during lunch hours because of all the offices and students in the area. We have been here for a while and the staff is mostly like family. We don't have any of those modern iPad menus or anything like that. We just tell you what we have cooked for the day. The kitchen is usually a bit loud and the dining area is small but we keep it clean. Working on the main road means there is always dust and noise from the traffic, but once people sit down to eat, they don't seem to mind much. We start our prep work early in the morning, chopping vegetables and getting the stoves going. It is a lot of routine, but we like seeing the regulars who come in every day. Sometimes we run out of certain dishes by the evening, that’s just how it goes. We don’t spend money on advertising, we just rely on people walking past or the word of mouth from someone who ate here last week. It is just a regular spot for a regular meal. We don't try to be anything we are not, just a place for decent food in the middle of a busy city.
