Paras Silk N Sarees

We are tucked away in the Dwarkesh Complex, right next to the Welcome Hotel on New Bardan Lane. This is Alkapuri, so it’s a nice area to be in. Our units are 118 and 119. We’ve got a lot of silk and different types of sarees piled up. It’s a bit of a maze inside sometimes because we keep getting new stock and don’t always have a place to put it immediately. The floors are white tile, but they get dirty pretty fast with people coming in from the lane. We’ve got some big mirrors so people can see how the silk looks against them. It’s mostly just family working here. My uncle started this place, and I’ve been helping out since I finished school. We don't use any fancy sales tactics. We just show you what we have and let you decide. Some of the silk is very delicate, so we have to be careful how we handle it. The lighting in the complex isn't the best, so we added some extra lamps to show off the colors better. It’s a busy neighborhood with a lot of shops, so there’s always a good crowd. We spend our days chatting with neighbors and folding clothes. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s what we know. If you need something for a special occasion, we usually have a few things tucked away in the back that might work.
