N B Engineers

Our place is tucked away at 470/4 in Makarpura. It is on Uttaradi Mutt Lane, which is right near the old Jayant Oil Mill. You can usually tell when you are close because you can smell the oil in the air. N B Engineers isn't a very big company. It is mostly just a group of us who have worked together for years. We do a lot of small-scale engineering tasks. Our workshop is a bit cluttered, I will admit. There are tools on every surface and parts waiting for assembly in the corners. We do not have a receptionist or anything like that. If you come by, one of us will just wipe our hands on a rag and come talk to you. The lane can get pretty tight when a truck is trying to pass through, so we usually tell people to park a bit further down if they can. We spend our mornings going through the jobs for the day and then it is just non-stop until the evening. It is honest work. We do not try to act like we are some big corporation. We are just local people doing engineering jobs. The tea shop at the corner is where we spend our breaks, usually talking about the cricket score or the local news. It is a bit of a routine, but we do not mind it. We have been here long enough that we know every crack in the floor.
