Being in an old part of the city like this gives the office a lot of character. Mid India Engineering Ltd has been at this location for many years. The building has high ceilings and old wooden doors that creak when you open them. It’s not a modern glass office, but it feels right for an engineering firm. The streets are narrow and busy, so it’s always lively outside. Inside, it’s mostly quiet except for the sound of our fans and the occasional telephone. We have some very old desks that have been passed down through the years. There’s no marketing department here. We don't have a fancy logo or a polished website. We just rely on the work we do. Most of us walk or take a scooter to the office because parking is tight. We take our tea from the small stall nearby and know the owner well. It’s a very simple, local way of doing business. We don't make big promises or use corporate jargon. We just show up, look at the plans, and do the engineering work. It’s a practical life here in the Wada. Sometimes we stay late when a project is due, but we always make time for a chat.
