Mangalam Garden Restaurant

Our place is right at Urmi Cross Roads in Akota, Vadodara. If you know where Govrdhan Haweli is, then we are very easy to find. It is a garden restaurant, so a lot of the seating is outside among the plants. We have some trees that provide a bit of a roof, and we have regular tables set out on the ground. It is 390020, so it’s a pretty central spot for people in this part of town. We spend a lot of time watering the plants and making sure the outdoor area looks okay. It isn't a perfectly manicured park, just a nice spot to sit and eat something. The kitchen is tucked away on one side. You can usually smell what is cooking from the street. We get a lot of families coming in, especially in the evenings when it cools down a bit. The lighting is just simple strings of bulbs to help people see their food. We don't have fancy uniforms or anything like that. We just wear what is comfortable for working outside. Sometimes a stray cat might wander through, but they don't bother anyone. It’s just a relaxed place to get a meal without any fuss. We keep the gates open until late and just try to make sure everyone has enough water and a clean table. It is just how we do things here in Akota.
