Ashwin Engineering

Ashwin Engineering is located at Plot No. 276-1 in the Gidc Ind. Estate. If you know where Lucky Restaurant is, we are just a short walk from there. That restaurant is where most of us end up for a quick bite when we’ve had a long morning. Our place isn't anything special to look at from the street, just a regular industrial shed with a heavy sliding door. Inside, it’s mostly just the sound of grinders and the occasional spark from the welding area. We keep a lot of raw material stacked up along the left wall, so you have to watch your step when you walk through. It can get pretty chaotic when three different jobs are going at once, but we have our own system for keeping track of things. The office is just a small wooden cabin built into the corner of the shed where the paperwork gets done. It’s dusty because of the trucks passing by outside all day, but that’s just life in Gidc. We don’t spend much on fancy paint or decorations. The money goes into the tools and keeping the machines running smooth. Most days start early before the sun gets too high, and we stay until the last pallet is loaded. It’s honest work, and we’ve been doing it at this same spot for a good while now. The neighborhood is mostly other shops just like ours, all making things and moving metal.
