Jay Engineering Works

The area around 369-378/B1-3 in G I D C is always humming with noise. Here at Jay Engineering Works, we are right in the middle of it all. Being near Krishma Steel in Makarpura means there are always trucks passing by on the Balaji Industrial Road. It is a dusty place because of all the construction and manufacturing going on nearby. Our workshop is filled with tools and heavy equipment that we use every day. We don't spend much time on the computer or doing paperwork. Most of the day is spent on the shop floor working with metal. It gets loud, especially when the neighbors are also running their heavy machines. We have a small space for tea breaks where we sit and watch the traffic go by. The address is a bit of a mouthful, so we usually just tell people we are near the steel plant. It’s easier that way. Sometimes the rain makes the industrial road a bit messy, but the work doesn't stop. We just keep the doors open and get through the list of tasks we have. There isn't anything fancy about how we run things here. We just show up, do the engineering work that needs doing, and head home when the sun goes down. It’s honest work in a busy part of Vadodara that never seems to stay quiet for very long. We just focus on the machines and getting things finished on time.
