Our workshop is located at Plot No. 885 in the GIDC Industrial Estate over in Makarpura. If you’ve ever been around this part of town, you know it’s busy. We’ve got a lot of machines running most of the time. Sometimes it gets so loud you can’t hear yourself think, but that’s just how it is in mechanical works. We do a lot of repairs and custom jobs for people who come in. Most of the guys on the floor have been here since they were young. We’ve seen the estate grow and change around us. Some days are slow and we just clean the tools, while other days we are working late into the night because a customer has an emergency. We don’t really bother with fancy uniforms or big signs. The sign we have is a bit faded from the sun, but everyone knows where we are. Dealing with the heat in Makarpura during the summer is probably the hardest part of the job. We drink a lot of tea and just keep going. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in India. We just want to make sure the work we do is solid and that the machines we fix stay fixed. It’s honest work, and it keeps us busy. We mostly talk about the work and the weather. That’s enough for us and it keeps our hands full.
