If you ever find yourself in the Makarpura GIDC area, you might have passed by our spot at Plot No 485/486/A/42. It is right near Himalaya Tokri in the Ashtamangal section. We have been set up here for a good number of years now. It’s an industrial area, so it’s always loud with the sound of machines and trucks moving around. Our workshop is usually a bit of a mess with metal scraps and tools lying around, but we know where everything is. Most days we are just busy with the lathes and the milling machines. Engineering is a lot of measuring and double-checking things. You can’t really rush it or the parts won't fit right. It gets hot in the afternoons, especially in the summer, but we keep the fans going. Sometimes clients come in with a broken part and ask if we can fix it by tomorrow. We try our best to help them out. It’s mostly regular guys working here, just trying to do a decent job. We drink a lot of tea while we talk about the work. The traffic in Makarpura can be a headache, especially during shift changes. But being in the GIDC is good for getting materials quickly. We aren’t a big corporation, just a bunch of guys who know how to work with metal. It’s what we do every day. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just wait it out. It is part of the routine.
