Ambica Engineering Company is at No 3/B in the Satyanarayan Industrial Estate. If you know the Gorwa area, you probably know the big water tank behind us. That’s how people find their way here, or they look for Chandan Metal which is also nearby. It's a busy spot. Most mornings start early when we open up the shutters. It can get pretty loud once the machines start running, but that's just how an engineering shop works. We deal with a lot of different metal parts and fix things that come our way. Sometimes the shop gets a bit cluttered with materials waiting to be worked on, but we know where everything is. It’s not a fancy office or anything like that. Just a practical workspace where we spend most of our day. The tea guy comes around twice a day and that's when we usually take a small break. Our neighbors in the estate are mostly doing the same kind of work, so we all know each other well enough. We don't spend much time on the computer or writing things down unless it's an order. Most of the knowledge is just in our hands from doing the jobs over and over. If someone comes by with a problem, we take a look and see what can be done. It's simple work but it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. We just try to keep the machines in good shape and the floor reasonably clean, even though the dust always comes back. It's a good place to be.
